Draper, UT November 22, 2009 -- Zrii, LLC, created a new partnership with the Miss Geico offshore racing team earlier this year, which proved successful as the AMF/Miss GEICO cruised to its fourth consecutive World Championship title last Sunday in front of record-breaking crowds.
Miss GEICO rocketed past the competition despite difficult and windy racing conditions, and the team was pleased with how the boat handled the terrain’s demands. “Our team worked extremely hard and each race we were prepared and set up perfectly,” stated driver Marc Granet. “We wanted our sponsors, GEICO and Zrii, to be proud of us,” chimed Scott Begovich, sporting an ear-to-ear grin.
Zrii is proud to be the second major sponsor in team history; its logo has now been seen by tens of thousands of people. “We are pleased with the team’s amazing feat and extend our congratulations for a job well done,” exclaimed Kevin Larson, Vice President of Marketing/Sales for Zrii. “They have provided our company with a unique marketing opportunity for our brand. Miss GEICO is powered by John Haggin, owner of AMF Offshore Racing, and is one of the fastest powerboats in the world. The team is already working on a new racing series in 2010 and making technical and safety improvements to the boat. Powered by two twin Lycoming T-53 and T-55 turbine engines, Miss GEICO can reach speeds of up to 185 MPH and has captured multiple world, national, and state championships.
