Q. How do I begin?

A. Contact Jilly by e-mail at studio@jjsmythartistry.net. Let us know what your project needs are and we can share ideas and set up an appointment in person or on the phone. The details of the creative proposal are worked out in writing. Include your phone number and area code in the e-mail, as well as the best time to reach you.

Q. What forms of payment do you accept?

A. We currently accept PayPal® through the JILLY Store and money orders. It’s easy and free to pay by PayPal, and you can use a credit card. More detailed long projects will require a 3 tier payment plan.

Q. How long will it take you to complete the order?

A. We generally allow 8 – 12 weeks from the time I receive the order. However, depending on how many orders that have been commissioned at one time, it may take longer, 12 + weeks. Of course holidays are going to be busier than the rest of the year, so try to plan ahead if you’re purchasing a gift and we can discuss. Personalized JILLY Gift Certificates work best for the holidays and are available.

Q. What medium and other materials do you use for your paintings, portraits, art and jewelry?

A.  A. JILLY utilizes only the finest quality materials, paper, canvas, metal, watercolor, water based oils, pen and ink, colored pencils and mixed media. Capturing the individual rich personality of each subject, animal and pet is of prime importance. (Logos and packaging designs are prepared for reproduction purposes and discussed separately.) The final artwork can be incorporated into a one of a kind jewelry design according to your wishes and each individual creative project.

     Jilly Jewelry is unique and individually hand strung with high quality jewelry wire, fine gemstones, extemely unusual meteorite beads, ceramic animals, silver clay, porcelain, Swarovski crystals, sterling silver; plus, seed, pearl, vintage and more!     

Q. Do you mat and frame ?

A. JILLY strongly recommends matting to protect the finished piece. The cost will vary depending on each project. JILLY does not frame art that is be shipped due to increased shipping costs and potential glass breakage. All Jewelry is packaged in JILLY gift boxes. Framing is either included in the total cost or priced out seperately.

Q. What if I’m not satisfied with the finished art?

A. Your satisfaction is 100% guaranteed! You are included in the proofing process as the art is being completed. Prints, reproductions and original designs can also be your chosen purchase.
